Hawzah News Agency- Established on July 25, 2018, Imam Hadi Seminary (peace be upon him) has emerged as one of the prominent institutions dedicated to the teaching of Islamic sciences and the dissemination of the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). Over the years, the seminary has steadily expanded its academic, cultural, and educational activities, becoming a source of hope and pride for many in Kashmir.
Inauguration of New Seminary Building
The latest phase of development coincided with the auspicious anniversary of the birth of Imam Hassan Askari (peace be upon him), during which the seminary’s new building was officially inaugurated.
The ceremony was attended by Hojatoleslam Seyyed Ali Naqvi, director of the seminary, Sheikh Jawad, head of education, members of the teaching staff, and a number of religious and social figures from the region. The inauguration marked the beginning of a new chapter in the seminary’s scientific and educational mission.
In his address, Hojatoleslam Seyyed Ali Naqvi expressed gratitude for the progress achieved so far, describing the promotion of authentic Islamic teachings and the school of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) as a core responsibility of the institution. He emphasized the importance of continuing the seminary’s academic and cultural efforts despite existing challenges.
Launch of Expansion Project
In a further sign of growth, the foundation stone for an additional expansion building was laid on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her). The ceremony took place on 20 Jumada al-Thani 1447 AH, corresponding to December 12, 2025.
A group of senior scholars, community elders, and local believers attended the event, offering prayers for the continued success and resilience of the seminary. The expansion project is expected to significantly enhance the institution’s capacity to accommodate students and broaden its range of educational programs.
Educating Future Generations
Officials and participants at the ceremonies expressed hope that Imam Hadi Seminary would play an increasingly pivotal role in educating future generations by strengthening its scientific, moral, and educational activities.
With the addition of new facilities and the development of more comprehensive academic programs, the seminary aims to respond to the growing demand for structured religious education in the region. The institution is also expected to contribute to nurturing socially responsible scholars capable of engaging with contemporary challenges while remaining rooted in Islamic values.
As it continues to expand, Imam Hadi Seminary is consolidating its position as an influential scientific and cultural center in Jammu and Kashmir, dedicated to promoting knowledge, faith, and the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) across the region.
